Give animals a second chance by donating today!
Ruff Start Rescue is dedicated to saving the lives of animals in need. We improve animal welfare in communities through adoption, education, and providing resources for people and pets.
Ruff Start Rescue rescues stray, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered dogs, cats, and critters. We work hard to place them into new, loving homes. We're able to step in and step up for these animals, provide comprehensive veterinary care, and find them loving homes because of generous animal welfare advocates like YOU.
Ruff Start doesn't receive any local, state, or federal funding. We depend solely on people just like you to help cover medical costs and provide the supplies these animals need to thrive.

This is a gift from our kids Amelia (11) and Everett (7). They each set aside part of their allowance to share with causes that matter to them and when they collect enough for a donation they choose where it goes. They both wanted to help an animal rescue this time. RuffStart came to mind since that is where we adopted our dog Obi (formerly Coby) in November 2024 and their Grammy adopted her dog Arlo (formerly Harlow) from you last summer.
