Dear OAR Supporters,

OAR NoVA was recently awarded a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance for $900,000 to be used over the next three years.  This will provide funding for client services, programs, emergency needs, and staff administrative costs. We are grateful for the continued support of the Bureau of Justice Assistance that helps to make our work possible. 

This year, the national fundraising day Giving Tuesday, comes as it always does on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday is the chance for you to put Generosity at the top of your Gift List.

You can join us on our social media platforms on Tuesday, December 3, for a special scrumptious event. Our Executive Director, Derwin, and our Director of Development, AJ, are having a little competition you won't want to miss! 

Last month, the Board and the staff of OAR took time for separate retreats, each designed to deepen our commitment to our mission and strengthen our impact through better communication skills and efficiency. The staff retreat provideded an invaluable opportunity for team bonding and professional growth. Both retreats have centered our focus, aligning our vision and goals in a more cohesive way. We come back more energized and ready to serve the community!
